1. KU NetID

KU NetID is your username, which you will use during your education to benefit the information technology services provided by Koç University.

Your KU NetID and password will be sent to you via SMS. You will enter the student information system KUSIS with your KU NetID and password.

You can use your KU NetID for e-mail, wi-fi, printers, library resources, shared computers in common areas and request tracking systems as well.

For security reasons, you should change your initial password. You can change your KU NetID password here: https://home.ku.edu.tr/password/

• Your password must consist of minimum 8 and maximum 25 characters, not include non- English characters and contain at least one capital letter and one special character.
• You should not share your password with anyone including IT employees. It is your personal obligation to protect your password.
• IT does not ask for your password via e-mail or SMS. Please ignore this kind of requests if you receive one.

2. How can I connect to Internet from campus?

There are two different wi-fi networks on the campus: KU and GUEST.

• You can connect to KU wi-fi using your KU NetID and password.

• Guests can connect to GUEST wi-fi by getting a username and password via SMS on the wi-fi homepage.

3. Access to Information Technology

IT is the short name for Koç University Information Technology. It is the department, which provides and supports the information technology infrastructure necessary for academic, administrative and research activities.

In case you have an IT related problem or request, you can access IT Service Desk by

• calling 1111 internally or 0(212) 338 1111 externally,
• creating a ticket on https://new-trackit.ku.edu.tr/,
• sending an e-mail to it@ku.edu.tr

Service hours are 07:30 – 22:30 during weekdays and 08:00 – 17:00 during weekends.

4. What is KUSIS?

KUSIS is the Koç University Student Information System. You will be using the system for many purposes such as enrollment, tracking your grades and class schedules or dorm application.

You can enter the system (https://kusis.ku.edu.tr) using your KU NetID and password.
